My Action Figure Visual CV

This weekend, I had some fun playing around with ChatGPT’s free visual AI to design a vinyl toy version of myself - something that creatively captures both my professional traits and personal interests.

The result? This ridiculously cute little figure I’d love to have on my desk… oh wait, I’m already there!

Jokes aside, ChatGPT turned out to be a surprisingly helpful tool for developing this concept. Sure, I had to do quite a bit of post-processing to refine the generated assets, but creating everything from scratch would’ve taken way longer.

I’ve also included a few of the intermediate stages produced by the AI - not only as a bit of behind-the-scenes fun, but also to show just how much effort goes into finalizing a polished image.

Learning to understand and use AI creatively can be a real game-changer for us creatives—both now and in the future. I don’t think AI will ever truly replace artists, but it’s definitely becoming an increasingly powerful and versatile tool. It reminds me of the shift from sketching on paper to working with a graphic tablet in Photoshop!
