Flappy Rulers / Vola Vola - Mobile Games

I combine these two games in the same project because they are essentially re-skins of the same gameplay!

Flappy Rulers is a casual game very inspired by the more famous Flappy Bird but it is set in a surreal clash between atomic super powers (it sounded funny in 2018). Some of the planet’s most influential politicians ride funny colored atomic bombs to nuke enemy countries. Initially, only the North Korean and American president were in the game, but we soon added many more. The game stayed in the Play Store for a short time and got decent results, with no advertising budget!

Vola Vola has practically the same gameplay as Flappy Rulers but adds a very interesting feature, which allowed me and the Vsure Studio team to win a prestigious European contest: “App Abruzzo”, promoted by FIRA s.p.a.
In Vola Vola you can spend the currencies obtained in the game to win real discount vouchers to be used at real businesses in the Abruzzo region. In practice, Vola Vola players could spend time playing and in exchange have a discount in a pizzeria or bar! This type of feature is a variation of play to earn.
All this was possible thanks to an in-depth startup project developed together with tutors from the Polihub incubator of the Politecnico di Milano.

Out of curiosity, the game represents the historical rivalry between the provinces of Chieti and Pescara and has been very successful in the regional area, allowing me to be interviewed on local newspapers and televisions!
